About 1,5 years ago I upgraded it with a 10 Core 3,0 Ghz processor and 64 GB and a two GB ssd. I'll take notes on your suggestions for upgrades when the time comes for mine I have warranty on it until 2022 so I won't be doing a CPU upgrade anytime soon, but it's good to know I could, so this is why I support the old way of Apple making computers that can be repaired and upgraded. I used to own the Mac Pro 5.1 and although very powerful, she was not quiet by far. After 6 months of use I can really say this MacPro is the best mac I ever owned, she works for hours in complete silence, I don't know how they managed this cooling system but it's amazing. I'm not a fan to say the least of the approach Apple took on making disposable non upgradable hardware, so after a lot of research I went for the "outdated" Mac Pro 2013 3.6 ghz 6 core, I was lucky to find a second hand one that was purchased in 2019 and therefore I could even upgrade the warranty. In mid 2019 my 2011 MacBook Pro died (the well known graphic card issue) and I need a reliable replacement asap, on my budget the options were the Mac mini 2018 or a second hand MacBook Pro 2018.
